The Urdu Neighbour Centre (Tax exemption ref no. 91/10710) was founded in 2009 by Ms. Yim Hung Yuk (Tina) and was the first center in To Kwa Wan specifically designed to serve the South Asian community. In order to help South Asian families integrate into the society, the center initially offered activities such as homework assistance, women's Chinese classes, and community integration workshops. In response to the employment and living needs of South Asians, the center established the social enterprise "Bread Bunch" in 2011. The bakery not only provides Halal food for South Asian families, but also creates employment opportunities for South Asians.
Over the following decade, the center continued to expand its services to other areas. It now provides services to over 300 South Asian families in various communities, including To kwa Wan, Oi Man Estate, Hoi Lai Estate, Kwai Chung, On Tai Estate, by collaborating with local organizations, schools, and churches.
